Privacy policy
How GSG Motors handles the information you send when you request a quotation or contact us. Last updated: date on approval.
In short
We only collect what we need to answer your enquiry and prepare a quotation. We use it to reply to you and to source what you asked for. We do not sell it. A web form and ordinary email are not secure, so please do not send bank details, identity documents or payment information through them.
1. Who we are
This site is operated by GSG Motors (Gaily Star Global), an automotive sourcing and export company. For any question about this policy or the information we hold about you, contact us at data enquiries address to be confirmed or by post at registered address to be confirmed.
2. What we collect
When you use the quotation form or contact us, we collect:
- Your email address, so we can send you a quotation and reply to your enquiry. This field is required.
- Your destination, the country or port your order is going to, because drive side, inspection requirements and shipping all depend on it. This field is required.
- What you are looking for, the product type, model or year, quantity, drive side, and any free-text details you choose to add such as a specification, budget, VIN, chassis number or part number.
We do not ask for your name, and we do not use tracking cookies to build a profile of you. If you contact us on WhatsApp instead of the form, WhatsApp handles that message under its own privacy terms, not ours.
3. Why we use it, and the only basis for it
We use what you send solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, and arrange sourcing and shipping if you go ahead. That is the only purpose. We do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
4. Where it goes
A form submission is sent to us by email. To make that work, your submission passes through the services that run the site: the form software, the email-delivery (SMTP) service, and the website host. The specific service providers are to be confirmed and named here. We choose established providers and do not send your enquiry to anyone else.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any order that follows, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. The exact retention period is to be confirmed. After that we delete it.
6. Security, and what not to send
We take reasonable care of the information you send us. You should know, though, that a web form and ordinary email are not secure channels. Please do not send bank details, card numbers, passwords, identity or immigration documents, or any other sensitive personal information through the form or by email. If a payment or a document exchange is ever needed, we will arrange a secure method and tell you what it is.
7. Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us at the address in section 1 and we will respond. The specific legal rights and the relevant regulator will be named once the governing jurisdiction is confirmed.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
